We are looking for a great technical writing professional who is customer-focused and driven to innovate as we build and transform how we make content and documentation available to our employees and to our customers. This individual will partner with internal teams to develop, write and edit a variety of technical documents, including procedural manuals, instructional guides and online content. Technical Writing, Desktop Publishing, Photo Editing, Illustrations, Diagrams
· Writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
· Assist in the production of electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals
· Design corporate templates for standardization across platforms and media
· Partner with instructional designers to develop supporting technical guides for training programs
· Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding
· Provides the editorial and graphics expertise in liaison work with printers, graphic designers, webmasters, typesetters, photo composers, binders, etc. Creates or edits graphics using standard desktop software
Reading, Proofing, Editing
· Revise, edit, and maintain instructional guides and technical documentation in both hard copy and online formats
· Reviews document formatting. Ensures style, tone, margins, spacing, and page layout are appropriate and in-keeping established standards.
Meetings, Research, Other
· Develop a thorough understanding of the audience and required documentation by partnering with internal and external subject matter experts
· Research and build knowledge about products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports
- Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
